Saturday mornings: There is an organized run every Saturday morning at the Pump House starting
at 7:30. Paces and distances (up to 20 miles) vary widely and there are usually enough people running to find
someone or a group to run with. Water and gatorade are put out by one of the runners every week.

Runners put out the water and gatorade. In other words, if we don't put it out it doesn't get put out and then we are
all thirsty and annoyed!! Fortunately, we have the WATER BARON who coordinates the Saturday fluids.
There are two places we have water and gatorade (click the link for directions):
First water stop: 5 gallons of water, at least 3 half gallon bottles of Gatorade and 100 cups. (the first water stop is at the
mailboxes, 3.3 miles from the pump house)
Second water stop: 2 gallons of water,1 half gallon or 2-3 quarts of Gatorade and 30-40 cups (the second water stop is 2.2
miles on Quaker Ridge Rd from stop 1)
In the hot weather you may want to put it on ice. Some volunteers like to dress it up a bit with tissues, paper towels, fruit,
power bars, candy, etc. but none of that is necessary. There is an award given out at the dinner dance for the best water stop
and all are welcome to compete. Use your imagination.
